BUILDING HOUSES, BUILDING HOPE - Help Habitat for Humanity build a house in Brooklyn Park on Saturday, May 24th, 2008!
Appraisal Institute members to build a house in Brooklyn Park!
We need at least 30 volunteers to make this a 100% Appraisal Institute volunteer workforce! No experience required!
o Donating labor is an excellent way for a new appraiser to learn more about construction - no experience required. Sign up your families too – minimum age 16.
o Appraisals are also needed for completed houses.
o The AI will work to get press coverage for this “house being built by Appraisal Institute Appraisers for Habitat for Humanity” – good for your business!
o Together, we can make this project a success, which will facilitate replicating this project with other MD Habitat for Humanity chapters!
Contact Tim McKenna at MDAI@assnhqtrs.com to sign up to help build on our target date, and/or donate an appraisal (or appraisals). (if the latter, it would be for the house being worked on or a future house)
About Habitat for Humanity
Arundel Habitat for Humanity, a non- profit, ecumenical Christian housing
ministry, builds decent and affordable houses and sells them at no profit
and no interest to low- income families currently living in substandard or
inadequate housing. An affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International
(HFHI), Arundel Habitat partners with people form all walks of life and of
all faiths or no faith to help families in need. Habitat families work
alongside Habitat volunteers to build their own home and work on other
families' homes. Their mortgage payments help provide funding for future
construction. Habitat families receive training to develop in their new
roles as homeowners.
